With the first insole I will need another insole. I cut second insole 15mm bigger that the first one which must be exact the same size as the bottom of the last.

After cutting pieces I dye them with liquid rust

I also modified the last to make it larger

I made the liquid rust from iron oxide (iron and vinegar)

It it will stain the leather black/grey because of the vegetable tannins in it

Making  pair of shoes... 

it starts from pattern making and cutting pieces 

I use ecological vegetable tanned leather 

which is  produced in Lapuan Nahka Oy

Coral got a new look. So did I. 

Next week I hopefully have something else to show to you. Designing is hard work and sometimes things can go wrong... badly... Sometimes you need couple of days off to get a new start, new ideas. Sometimes all you need bit of a time alone...with your shoes...in an elavetor.
